报告摘要:
Metabolites and related proteins are essential for cell physical and pathological functions. Cells sense specific metabolites to coordinate biological processes in response to metabolic fluctuations. Metabolic reprogramming is one of the critical features in cancer. Tumor cells preferentially utilize glycolysis instead of oxidative phosphorylation in the presence of oxygen, namely ‘Warburg Effect’. With the comprehensive studies in this field, Warburg Effect is beyond glycolysis. Many different metabolic pathways are added into this picture, providing further evidence for the critical role of metabolism in tumorigenesis and cancer development. My laboratory mainly focuses on metabolic stress and tumorigenesis. Of particular interest, I plan to share our recent progress on non-canonical enzyme function of LDHA.
