　　The 3rd Sino-German Young Scientist Symposium on Structures and Dynamics at Surfaces will be held in Dalian, China, from September 16 to 21, 2019. It is co-organized by Dr. Chuanyao Zhou from DICP and Dr. Ulrich Hagemann from University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany.

　　The goal of this serial Sino-German Young Scientist Symposium on Structures & Dynamics at Surfaces is to provide a platform for young people from both China and Germany to communicate and discuss recent research results and new experimental techniques, explore new research techniques and trend and look for potential interdisciplinary collaboration.

　　In view of bringing young scientists who are investigating the structure and dynamics at surfaces with various kinds of experimental and theoretical methods together, we deliberately chose those from different fields in surface science. Therefore, they can discuss not only the recent progress and scientific ideas but also the combination of different experimental and theoretical skills. The interdisciplinary collaboration is usually believed to inspire new research.

　　According to the specific experimental and theoretical methods and research object, we have roughly divided the topics of this symposium into six parts: Scanning Probe Microscopy (STM, AFM, etc), Nonlinear Spectroscopy at Surfaces (SHG, SFG, etc), Time-Resolved Spectroscopy (2PPE, PEEM, TA, etc), Molecular-Surface Scattering, Materials for Energy Conversion and Theory.
