报告摘要:

Mixed metal (oxy)nitrides have attracted attention due to their interesting chemical and physical properties in the past twenty years. A number of strategies for complex transition metal (oxy)nitrides with variety of physical properties, are being actively studied at Cornell University and University of Edinburgh. The samples have been synthesized by both thermal ammonolysis and high pressure high temperature methods. The structural exploration covers perovskite, scheelite, pyrochlore, etc.  The structural studies were carried out using powder X-ray and neutron diffraction,  and magnetic and conducting properties have been explored. Materials studied may apply to electronic devices, such as batteries, fuel cells or solar photovoltaics.
