　　Caused by resources and environmental problems, Germany's aim isto have  1 Mill. EVs (BEV and FCEV) in 2020. The government has issued large support programs for Battery EVs (Batteries: material, safety, etc., cars: standards etc.) and FC-EVs (PEMFC development, hydrogen stations). These program will be reported in this presentation. 

　　报告人简介：  

　　Professor Jürgen Garche works over 40 years in different areas of batteries and fuel cells. He wrote more than 300 publications and books (he is the editor in chief of the Encyclopedia of Electrochemical Power Sources) and received several international awards for his accomplishments. He established the Electrochemical Storage and Conversion Division of the ZSW in Ulm,Germany and acted as the Director till 2004. This division (about 100 people) deals with material research (battery and supercap materials, catalysts), accumulators (conventional and Li batteries, optimization, tests – parameter and safety, BMS etc.), electrolyzer and fuel cells (cells, stacks, systems, tests). He was the German leader of the Sino-German Fuel Cell Initiative (2002-2004) which was supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the German Forschungsgemeinschaft and the Sino-German Center for Research Promotion Center. Now he conducts as the general manager for the consulting office FCBAT.
