报告摘要:
In situ experimentation in transmission electron microscopes (TEMs) has always been an exciting field of study. Over the years, improving the resolution of a TEM has been driving the research and development in this area, however, now that we have reached sub-angstrom resolution, the application of transmission electron microscope as a tool to study dynamic changes in a specimen is one of the major areas where the future interest lies. These dynamic changes could be induced either by heating, applying a bias, or by creating a reactive environment inside the TEM.
Recently, with the advancements in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) based technologies, the area of in situ TEM has progressed rapidly over the last decade.
Here, we show the results from a few applications of our MEMS based heating system to investigate commonly studied materials in situ. During the demonstration on TITAN, we will show either the heat treatment of aluminium alloys or core-shell nanoparticles.
上午报告结束后,电镜技术研究组(DNL2002)还将于下午13:30在电镜实验室(能源楼会议中心地下一层B06)举行上机演示实验,欢迎感兴趣的老师、同学届时参加!
